In 1906, Giuseppe Zarcone came to America, from Palermo, Italy, with just the money in his pocket and his family’s famous recipe for fried pizzas. After a lot of hard work, he opened a drive-in restaurant in Danbury, CT as well as a stand at The Great Danbury State Fair. Customers would come from all over to get a taste of a Zarcone fried pizza. The lines of people would never let up until the fair ultimately closed in 1981.
Today, Giuseppe’s descendants carry on the tradition, but conveniently deliver the famed fresh fried pizzas right to your door.
